Stratton on the Fosse in 1956

In 1956 Sheila Smith, who was a trainee teacher at College in Bath, came to Stratton on the Fosse as part of her course to make a geographical and environmental study. She were based at St Vigors Church of England school which was in the village at that time. As Sheila says, the complete study disappeared a long time ago, unfortunately, but her diary from that time makes fascinating reading. This diary is reproduced here with her permission. I would like to thank her on behalf of the village for letting us reproduce it. There are a number of pages, along with some drawings she made of the village - please enjoy
